What is D.A.V.I.D?
An AI helper that answers questions about one machine, the Case IH 2388 combine. It draws on notes gathered from owners' forum posts and university extension guides, and names the note behind each answer.
Is it a mechanic?
No. It's an AI. Its answers can be wrong. Check before you wrench, and when the answer matters, confirm it with your operator's manual or a dealer.
Does it use the Case IH service manual?
No. It doesn't quote or show manual pages or drawings. It works from owners' reports and extension guides, in its own words. Where only the manual would know, it says so.
Why won't it help with some jobs?
Work under a raised header, on the rotor, on hydraulics or anything needing lockout can kill or maim. For those D.A.V.I.D stops and sends you to the manual or a dealer.
How does the free trial work?
Give an email and you get 5 free chats, each up to 10 questions. No card. The count is kept per email and per browser.
What does it cost after the trial?
$4 a month, renewing until you cancel, or $40 once for 12 months that never renews. Both are drafts. See Pricing.
How do I cancel?
One button on your Account page. You keep access to the end of the month you paid for.
Which 2388s does it cover?
All model years, but owners' reports differ by year, for example on the engine valve count and the rotor drive. D.A.V.I.D says when a point depends on the year.
